The chalets that are part of the Cybershelter village are both discussion groups and web sites. We call each one a Chalet in the tradition of Swiss L'Abri where the Schaeffers first began their ministry. Students who attend the Swiss L'Abri ministry now will find that they are mentored by L'Abri Fellowship staff that live in several chalets. Each chalet has its own personality through the staff that actually live there. At Swiss L'Abri there is also a place called Farel House which is the chapel on Sundays and the main study center and lecture hall on other days. The one like this that Cybershelter is developing is called Schaeffer House.

So, when you go to Chalet Cyberspace for instance, you are entering a kind of Chalet Les Melezes (the Schaeffer's first chalet). Here you get a general idea of what Cybershelter is all about and we on the staff, along with our other guests, can find out a little bit about you as well. Then, as you expand your experience and enter the other chalets in the village, you will not only discover the unity that is here but also much more of the diversity that is available to help you in your Christian walk. In all of the chalets you will find a Cybershelter staff member in residence. Each loves the Lord and takes their work seriously. These chalets are their homes online, so to speak, and you are their honored guests. So please act accordingly. Thank you J

Chalet Arts (Arts): This group is geared toward those who are interested in the discussion of art in all forms.

Chalet Cyberspace (Chalet): This is the main discussion group where a wide variety of topics are discussed.

Chalet Eagle (Eagle): This is the second web site for Cybershelter added in September of 2001. Presently it is a web site ministry only with plans for discussion groups in the future.

Chalet Kuyper (Kuyper): This discussion group is particularly focused on a Christian's responsibility in politics.

Chalet Manse (Manse): This discussion group is specifically for the spouses of those in the clergy.

Chalet Workers (Workers): This is for the Cybershelter staff only, to help us serve you better.
