Writing As An Adventure?

The writer is not trained in journalism but he loves to do research into subjects that spark his interest. The internet of today provides almost an unlimited amount of useful information if the time is taken to look for it. The writer has never been a reporter but trying to learn the art of investigative reporting...now that is an adventure that screams out - "GO FOR IT!!!"

So why not?? He has worked on other kinds of projects before that have turned out to be worthwhile endeavors. Why not writing projects as well? Enough said :-)
